## About YBM Headquartered in the heart of Seoul, YBM has been a leader in English education in Korea for over 60 years. It is the official Korean partner of ETS, the maker of the TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication). ## The Role TOEIC writers develop practice TOEIC tests, mainly for YBM's test prep books and classes. This involves coming up with a realistic scenario, researching the topic if needed, creating a short script or reading passage, and devising related multiple-choice questions. It requires both creativity and the ability to follow a strict format. ## Work Details - Hours: 9 A.M. to 6 P.M., Monday through Friday - Location: 104 Jong-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul - Remote work is allowed 6 days per month after a three-month probationary period ## Pay and Benefits - Around 3 million KRW per month, depending on experience - The four major insurances - 11 discretionary paid days off in the first year (15+ per year after that), plus all public holidays and May 1 - 10 million won in key money for housing - After six months of employment, free language classes (Korean, Chinese, or Japanese) at YBM's hagwon ## How to Apply Send an email to marilynh@ybm.co.kr with "TOEIC test writer: [your full name]" as the subject, including: - Cover letter in the body of the email (include your desired monthly salary) - MS Word resume - A writing sample of at least 150 words. Requirements

- Native fluency in English - Extensive knowledge of the conventions of English grammar and usage - Optional: formal EFL or ESL teaching experience with adult learners - F-series visa OR at least one of the following so the company can sponsor you for an E-7 visa: 1) A master's degree in a related field (e.g., English, journalism) 2) A bachelor's degree in a related field plus one year of experience as a writer of English test preparation or education materials
