[Contract] Game Localization - Korean to English
NCSoft, the game company developing AION2, is looking for a short-term linguist for Korean to English localization. We are seeking a multilingual videogame lover to be a part of the project. You will translate and review Korean in-game content including dialogue, UI, and narrative into English to ensure localization quality and consistency. Your writing will directly impact the global player experience. Key Responsibilities: - Translate and review Korean-to-English translations for game content - Ensure clarity, accuracy, and contextual consistency - Play the game in development to verify in-game text Work Details: - Contract duration to be discussed after passing document screening - Location: 12, Daewangpangyo-ro 644beon-gil, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do (On-site) - Hours: 10AM-7PM, 1 hour lunch, possibility of late hours - Visa: F visas and E-7 visas preferred (D-10 requires additional screening) - This is not a freelance or remote role - Candidates may be asked to complete a short localization test
Requirements
Native-level English fluency with professional writing skills. Fluent understanding of Korean. Excellent attention to detail and tone. Preferred: Experience in game localization or editing. Familiarity with MMORPGs and narrative-focused games.
