Sam Ryan's is the kind of sports bar expats dream about finding overseas. Located on the second floor behind the Hamilton Hotel in Itaewon, it's been the go-to spot for watching NFL, NBA, NHL, rugby, and Premier League since 2009. The bar is packed with big screens and the staff will put on whatever game you want if they can find it. The food is solid American-style pub fare: burgers, wings (multiple sauce options), loaded nachos, and a poutine-style loaded fries that keeps people coming back. Co-owned by a Canadian and an Australian, the bar has a distinctly North American sports bar feel with dart boards, beer pong tables, and their famous drinking game wheel that adds chaos to any night out. Weekday afternoons are relaxed and great for catching a game with a beer, while Friday and Saturday nights get loud and packed. The staff are friendly, the prices are reasonable for Itaewon, and it's one of the few places in Seoul where you can reliably watch early-morning NFL games live on a Sunday.
